Play Together

What is Play Together?

Play Together is a two-player online escape room: a co-op multiplayer game you play in your browser, each on your own device, built around talking to each other.

You're both in the same game, but you don't see the same room. Each of you has different objects, clues and information — and the thing that makes no sense on your side may be exactly what the other player needs.

How many people can play together?

Exactly two. Each player gets their own side of the game and their own set of clues.

Do we need to be in the same place?

No. Sit next to each other, play from opposite ends of a city, or from different countries. Each of you opens the game on your own device. If you're apart, stay on a voice or video call while you play.

Is The Click good for long-distance couples?

Yes. Play Together works especially well when you're in different places, because the game is built for two separate screens. Start a call, send your partner the invite link, and find your way out together.

Can we play it as an online date night?

Absolutely. A Play Together game takes about 20–30 minutes and gives you something to actually do together, not just sit on a call. There's nothing to prepare, nothing to download, and you don't need to know how escape rooms work.

Do both players see the same thing?

No — that's the whole trick. You're playing the same story, but each of you sees a different room. You'll need to describe what you see, compare notes and work out which clue belongs on which side.

How do I invite the other player?

Start a Play Together game and we'll set up your side of it. You'll get a link to send to the other player. They open it on their own phone, tablet or computer and join your game — no account needed. The link stays good for a week, so you can play whenever you're both free.

Do we need two devices?

Yes. Each player needs their own device, because each of you sees a different side of the game. A phone, a tablet or a laptop all work.

Do we need to be on a video call?

No, a voice call is enough. There's no voice or video call built into the game, so if you're apart, use FaceTime, WhatsApp, Discord, a phone call — whatever you normally use to talk. If you're in the same room, just talk.

Is there an in-game chat?

No. Talking to each other is part of the game.

Does each player need an account?

No. You don't need an account to start playing, and the invited player can open their link without creating one.

Does each player have to buy the game?

No. Only one of you needs full access — the other plays free. It doesn't matter which of you started the game.

How long does a Play Together game take?

Most take about 20–30 minutes. How fast you get out depends on how well the two of you talk — and how quickly it clicks.

Is Play Together an online escape room for two?

Yes. In most online puzzle games, two players look at the same screen. Here each of you is inside a real 3D room with different information, and neither of you can solve it alone. Play remotely or side by side, with nothing to download.

Games and puzzles

Do I need escape-room experience?

No. Everything you need to solve a room is inside the game — no outside knowledge, no previous escape rooms. Look around, pick things up, compare clues and work out how they fit together.

Are the puzzles based on guessing?

No. The rooms are built on logic and observation. The answer comes from things you can actually find in the room, never from guessing what the designer was thinking.

Are hints available?

Yes, in every game, solo and together. If you're stuck, open a hint and keep going instead of letting one puzzle end the game.

Do I need to download anything?

No. The Click runs in your browser. There's no app to install.

Can I play on my phone?

Yes. The Click works in the browser on phones, tablets and laptops.

What languages are available?

The Click is available in 8 languages: English, Español, Português, Français, Deutsch, Italiano, 日本語, and עברית. Pick yours from the language menu at the top of the page.

Play Solo

Can I play The Click alone?

Yes. Play Solo is the single-player side of The Click: just you, the room and the puzzles.

Is there a free solo game?

Yes. Blackthorn College is free, start to finish. After that, you can keep opening rooms for free over time, or unlock every solo game right away.

How does the free solo version work?

Your first solo game is free. After that, a new room opens for free every 24 hours, in order. If you don't want to wait, get full access and open every solo game at once.

How much is full solo access?

Full solo access is $6.90, paid once. Every room of every solo game opens right away, and there is no expiry date.

Pricing and access

Is Play Together free?

Your first Play Together game, The Heist, is free — for both of you.

How much does Play Together cost after the free game?

Full Play Together access is $6.90, paid once. It opens every other Play Together game, with no expiry date. Only one of you pays.

Is The Click a subscription?

No. Every purchase is a one-time payment. No subscription, no recurring fees. Nothing renews, and nothing is charged again.

Does my purchase expire?

No. Your purchase has no fixed expiration date. You pay once, and access continues for as long as the service is available. There is nothing to renew and nothing to buy again.

We can't promise the service will always be there, so here is what we do promise: if we ever discontinue it, we'll give at least 90 days' notice and stop selling new purchases right away, and every purchase is guaranteed at least 90 days of access from the day it was bought. That guarantee is about access, not money back. Refunds are covered by our 14-day refund policy.

Can I unlock both Solo and Play Together?

Yes. The bundle is $9.99 and opens every solo game and every Play Together game. One payment, no expiry date.
