Why two devices, even on one couch

You're sitting next to each other, but your screens show different rooms. So you read things out, hold your phone up and say “look at this”.

What the second screen gives you

  • You have to talk

You can't solve it without telling each other what you see.

  • “Look at this”

“Hang on, what's on your wall?” is how half the puzzles get solved.

  • Nobody's the passenger

Each of you has things only you can find.

Nothing to set up

  • Open it in a browser
  • Two devices: phones, tablets or laptops
  • Send the other person a link
  • Start playing

No board, no pieces, no download, no preparation.

Made for a night in

A date night, a quiet evening, or game night for two. It works for couples, roommates, friends, siblings, or a parent and an older kid.

The Heist

A small museum, two in the morning, and a necklace you came to take. One of you keeps watch out in the hall. The other is inside the security room, with the cameras and the lasers. Each of you can see what the other one needs — and the door only lets go when you both finish.

Questions

Can we play sitting next to each other?
Yes. Sit together, each with your own device, and just talk. You'll still be in different rooms of the game.
Why do we need two devices?
Because each of you is in a different room with different clues, and each room needs its own screen.
Can we play on two phones?
Yes. Two phones, two tablets, a phone and a laptop: any mix works.
Does it work on the same Wi-Fi?
Yes. Same network or different networks, it makes no difference.
Is it good for a date night?
Yes. It takes 20–30 min, there's nothing to prepare, and you're doing something together instead of watching something.
One of us never plays video games. Will it work?
Yes. There's nothing to aim and nothing to rush. You look around, tap things and talk.
